About the event

The role of the engineer in society is constantly changing – as one challenge is identified and overcome, another presents itself due to the ever shifting needs of humanity and the environment.  In his Presidential Address Michael Phillips Chartered Engineer, Engineers Ireland President, and Director of Traffic and City Engineer at Dublin City Council, will explore the ever-evolving role of the engineer including the contribution they will make to the economy into the future.
