About the event

The St James’s Gate Brewery is Ireland’s largest brewery, producing all of Diageo’s portfolio of Beers for their Irish and International customers. While site operations are highly energy-efficient, the nature of the brewing process means that the site consumes large amounts of energy daily. The site’s CHP plant is a critical piece of mechanical engineering infrastructure in support of this production.

Diageo, in collaboration with Fingleton White, have invited IMechE & Mechanical and Manufacturing division members on a site-visit to the St James’s Gate CHP plant. During the visit, attendees will be taken on a guided tour of the facility, learning about the Diageo technology and equipment and interacting with the engineers that operate and maintain this plant.

The site visit will take approximately four hours.

Attendees should note that there is no on-site parking available - the nearest public carpark is Thomas Street Carpark

Attendees are required to bring their own PPE – hi-viz jacket, hard hat, toe-capped boots, safety glasses and gloves

All 30 available places on this site visit have now been allocated and no further bookings can be taken.
