IMechE Presidential Address and Dinner
About the event
This annual event marks the close links between the Mechanical and Manufacturing Division and The Institution of Mechanical Engineers.
When the new President of IMechE takes office they deliver an extended Presidential Address and in a now well established tradition, a modified version of this Address is delivered to their Republic of Ireland Branch and our Mechanical and Manufacturing Division in Dublin.
The Address will be followed by a dinner, also at 22 Clyde Road for which a nominal fee will be charged. Pre-booking for dinner is essential and bookings should be made via e-mail to Paul Dillon at

About the speaker
Professor Isobel A Pollock BSc Eng CEng Hon DSc FIMechE FCGI FRSA.
Isobel is the 127th President of IMechE. She is a consultant, a businesswoman and Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor in Engineering and Design at the University of Leeds school of engineering working on multi-disciplinary engineering projects, technology road mapping and knowledge transfer projects (KTPs).
She has senior engineering management experience with multi-national companies including ICI, DuPont, Robert McBride and Beatson Clark. She developed multi-disciplinary management and engineering skills in the chemical, metal handling, glassware, food, drinks and pharmaceutical industries.
