"Five Tribes and Big Ideas!"
About the event
This event will have particular relevance for those interested or involved in the promotion of engineering as a career.
Peter Finegold is Head of Education and Skills, Policy and Research with the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. During the course of this event, he will present some of his work which concerns two areas:
-
his work on trying to understand what groups of people we should be promoting engineering as a profession or career to in “Five Tribes" and
-
his research project aiming to “enhance engineering and technology literacy for all” with “Big Ideas: The future of Engineering in Schools"
This will be followed by a round table discussion.
