About the event

This presentation will give an introduction to steam and condensate systems leading to energy saving and optimising plant performance.  It will be of relevance to those working in the Energy, Chemical and Process and Agriculture and Food sectors and to all who have an interest in this technology.

The presentation will address the following topics:

• Steam properties and fundamentals
• Basic design considerations
• System commissioning
• Safe isolation and steam distribution
• Steam and condensate pipe sizing
• Air venting: strainers and separator
• Pipe expansion and support
• Condensate recovery
• Steam Trap design: condition monitoring and cost of leaking traps

About the speaker

Daniel Wells, National Consultant Specialist at Spirax Sarco.
