About the event

During this presentation John Butler of the tPOT Research Group will discuss the studies investigating sensory, motor and decision making in people with Parkinson’s disease using virtual reality, behavioral tasks and electrophysiological recordings.

The tPOT Research Group is part of the Dublin Institute of Technology's School of Electrical Engineering Systems. The group is based in the Focas Institute, adjacent to DIT's Kevin St campus. The group was established in May 2007, consolidating its members' ongoing research into technology that interacts with humans or with the human body - what we call People Oriented Technology (POT). The group's activities include research and teaching in biomedical signal engineering, human-machine interfaces, assistive technology and health informatics.
