About the event

Engineers Without Borders (EWB) is an NGO and registered Charity dedicated to bridging the gap between academia, industry and NGOs to give Irish engineers and scientists opportunities to learn about and contribute to sustainable development globally.

They do this by partnering with communities in developing countries to improve their quality of life through education and the implementation of sustainable engineering projects.

This event will provide an overview of the work of EWB including development education, overseas development projects, research and volunteering opportunities and their European Union funded project to build critical understanding and active engagement for UN Sustainable Development Goal 11 with a focus on land rights, disaster resilience, slum upgrading and equality.
