Seminar Overview

This one-day seminar, organised by the Fire & Safety Division of Engineers Ireland, will cover a broad range of topics relating to persons involved in fire safety and in fire loss prevention.

Presentations on the day will address a broad range of current fire safety challenges and solutions including: Fire Safety Testing, TGD-B 2019, High Rise / Basement Fire Fighting - Design Considerations, Fire Safety aspects of External Wall Panels in 2019 - Post Grenfell, Agreement Certification and Building Control Compliance in 2019, Electrical Functionality in the Event of a Fire, Fire Safety Aspects of Lift Installations in Medium/High Rise Buildings and more.

This line-up of topics (speakers to confirmed shortly) promises to make this CPD seminar an interesting and practical day not to be missed.

Seminar Aim

The aim of the seminar will be to inform fire safety practitioners, both public and private sector, of the latest developments, current challenges and best practice in important aspects of fire safety design and management.

Who Should Attend

This seminar is addressed at professional engineers and architects, fire safety engineers, building control officers, fire officers, contractors, insurance surveyors, loss adjusters, engineering students and regulators. It will be an opportunity for those interested in solving problems in the practice of building design and of fire safety engineering to meet other professionals and to update skills in these areas.

Terms and Conditions

Confirmation is subject to event fee being finalised. Cancellation fees calculated at 50% of the estimated total bill will be charge for confirmed bookings cancelled less than 5 working days prior to the date of the planned event. A replacement person can attend instead. Cancellations made the day prior to an event will be charged 75% of the total estimated bill. No-shows will be charged the full fee. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing by email. Engineers Ireland will not be liable for any costs in the event of a course being re-scheduled.  This applies, but is not limited, to any travelling, subsistence or consequential expenses incurred by delegates.
