Masterclass & Practical Implications of using NEC3 and FIDIC Forms of Contract
Overview
The 2-day course is intended for both public and private sector companies who are currently working or are interested in working in projects under NEC3 or FIDIC forms of contract. Tailored for those with various levels of experience in the forms of contract, this course focuses on the practicalities as well as the administration and management of each form. This course is perfect for those who are currently working or intend to work in the UK, or who, as a direct result of the changing culture shift within the Irish Construction Industry, wish to learn more about the NEC3 and FIDIC forms which are steadily growing in popularity.
Course Aim
This course aims to give participants an extensive introduction to both NEC3 and FIDIC forms of contract, with Day 1 covering the NEC3, and Day 2 covering FIDIC. The course will provide delegates with an understanding of how the contracts are applied in practice both at home and abroad with particular reference to change and claiming time and money.

Trainer's profile
David McNeice is a Solicitor, qualified in England and Wales and a respected Legal consultant in the area of contract management and dispute resolution. David has advised some of the UK and Ireland’s largest civil engineers on contractual matters and disputes. With an insight into the contractual and commercial reality of construction disputes, David is expertly placed to provide advice on all forms of contentious and non-contentious construction and contractual matters.
David is head of Quigg Golden’s training leg, being an experienced trainer and lecturer of high standard. David is also the course leader and lecturer for the ICE Civil Engineering Law and Contract Management (NEC3) course for the ICE in Northern Ireland, Dublin and for the ICE South East Region. David is also the Convener for the Adjudication Society Ireland Region.

Confirmation is subject to event fee being finalised. Cancellation fees calculated at 50% of the estimated total bill will be charge for confirmed bookings cancelled less than 5 working days prior to the date of the planned event. A replacement person can attend instead. Cancellations made the day prior to an event will be charged 75% of the total estimated bill. No-shows will be charged the full fee. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing, fax or email.
