Best Presentation Award

Engineers Ireland’s Best Presentation Award recognises members who have contributed to the engineering profession by delivering outstanding technical presentations to our members during the 2017-2018 lecture season.

Each Regional branch, Engineering division and Society of Engineers Ireland is invited to nominate a presentation for the award.

The Best Presentation Award for 2017, sponsored by Beale & Company and Griffiths & Armour, went to Challenges and Trends in Magnetics for Power Electronics, presented by Prof William Gerard Hurley, Chartered Engineer, Professor of Electrical Engineering at NUI Galway and Director of the Power Electronics Research Centre. Nominated by: The Cork region.

Entry Criteria

Submissions for this award must include:

Submissions should be made online by 2pm on Monday, 10 September 2018 to sectorsupport@engineersireland.ie or by hard copy to Máirín Ní Aonghusa, Customer Service Officer, Sector Support, Engineers Ireland, 22 Clyde Road, Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.

Following a review of the submissions by the Excellence Awards judging panel, the top three presentations from the year will be shortlisted for the Best Presentation Award. The award will then be presented to the overall winner at the Engineers Ireland Excellence Awards on Friday, 9 November.
