ISSMGE membership through GSI

The Geotechnical Society of Ireland (GSI) is the Member Society of the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE) for Ireland and must pay a substantial national society affiliation fee (almost GBP 600) to ISSMGE each year. Through organising conferences, the giving of awards, maintaining Technical Committees, and publishing papers and webinars, the ISSMGE carry out valuable work on our behalf and it is important for the profession in Ireland that we maintain our standing with them. The GSI is a voluntary society and our only way of recovering the cost of affiliation is through your subscriptions. The subscription fee is currently set at €25 (reduced from €30 in previous years). Benefits of ISSMGE membership include the ability to join Technical Committees, publish papers and attend ISSMGE conferences at reduced registration fees.

The application form can be downloaded here and we hope you might consider filling this out and returning with your membership fee to the Treasurer of GSI. Payment of the fee can be made either by cheque or bank transfer.   Contact: Ciaran Reilly, Hon. Treasurer, Geotechnical Society of Ireland (ciaran@ciaranreilly.ie).
